During March, 1915. the 13th London battalion of 25 Brigade, 8th Division had seen action during the Battle of Neuve Chapelle after which they had remained in the front line for a further ten days. From 1st-4th April, 1915 they were in the front line near Fleurbaix in France. Leonard Foy died from wounds on 5th April after having been taken back to a base hospital on the coast, but it is not known when he was wounded. |
